Team Specifics
Each team would consist of a maximum of 9 team players and minimum 6 team players (i.e. all players on the court at one time)
A minimum of 3 female players must be on court at each time of play.
Substitutions may occur at any point of the game when the ball is not in play. However, the referee MUST be informed when making substitutions.
Teams are reminded that in the event that the ration of males and females are different, there will be no handicap or advantage given to the teams.
Rules and Regulations
For each half, the referee will start the game in the middle of the court, and a player from each side will compete for the possession of the ball.
When a player is holding onto the ball, the player can only take a maximum of 1 step.
A player can only hold the ball for 5 seconds before passing/shooting.
Opposing team players are NOT ALLOWED to snatch/slam the ball away from the player, they are only allowed to defend or catch the ball in mid air.
No physical contact, in the form of pushing/elbowing/shoving/tripping etc. is allowed.
When the ball goes out of the boundary, possession of the ball will go to the other team. The play will start at the position where the ball went out of the court’s boundary. For the baseline out balls, the attacker will start the play at the side of the court, while the defending side will start the play at the side of the court, while the defending side will start play at the baseline.
In any dead ball situation (e.g. throw-ins), the defender must be at least 3 steps away from the opponent. The attacker is not allowed to score directly from the dead ball.
A shot is only counted when the catcher’s legs are on the chair for 3 seconds after catching the ball, not when the ball is caught and slipped off.
For the group stage, each team can call for time out once in every game.
From the semi-finals and final, each team can call for time out once every half.
A time out can only be called while the possession of the ball. Each time out will last a maximum of 1 minute.
The referee will pause the game in the event of an injury.
No footwear is allowed for all players.
Each game shall commence promptly. Teams are expected to report 10 minutes before their game commences. In the event that any team is late for a game, it will be considered a walkover.
No player may wear items of clothing or equipment that reasonably could harm the wearer or other players (e.g. wristwatches, buckles, sharp edges or long studs on footwear, protruding jewelry).
In any case of dispute/disagreements, the referee’s decision is final.
Fouls
Unsportsmanlike behaviour is subject to loss of possession or dismissal from the game
Choice of penalties will be to the discretion of the referees.

Game Play
All teams in the preliminary rounds would play a round robin league system of 5 minutes per half game (1min half-time break) with the scoring system as follows:
- WIN = 3 points
- DRAW = 1 point
- LOSE = 0 points
- WALKOVER = 3 points
